Social Media Community Coordinator
Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Part-Time Social Media Community Coordinator to lead the growth, engagement, and well-being of our Facebook groups and photography mentorship team for The Portrait System.
The Portrait System is an online education brand for photographers, offering a membership and vibrant community experience. Proudly part of and owned by Emerald X, our aim is to provide exceptional support and guidance to photographers around the globe.
In this role, you will oversee a diverse team of Facebook group moderators and photography mentors, focusing on fostering positive interactions and managing various personalities within the community. Your ability to navigate differing viewpoints while maintaining an inclusive environment will be key to the success of this role.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Facebook Group Management:
- Lead the administration of our Facebook groups, ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and aligns with community interests and values.
- Collaborate with group moderators to develop and uphold community guidelines, nurturing a safe and inclusive online space.
- Monitor discussions, track teammates' responses to comments, inquiries, and facilitate constructive conversations.
- Implement strategies to enhance group growth, engagement, and member retention.
- Work with the facebook moderator team to facilitate meaningful connections among community members, promoting networking and collaboration.
Team Leadership and Personality Management:
- Supervise a diverse team which consists of 10 photography mentors.
- Provide guidance and support tailored to individual strengths and personalities.
- Conduct regular meetings, fostering an environment of open communication and mutual respect.
- Serve as the key conduit of information, actively listening to mentors' feedback on needs and areas of improvement, and effectively communicating these insights to the brand director. Simultaneously, be an integral part of brand and marketing conversations, ensuring that the mentors are well-informed and aligned with overarching brand objectives.
- Work closely with mentors to create educational and inspiring content, showcasing the team's diverse expertise.
- Partner with the marketing team to relay and implement their strategies, guiding the mentor team in producing materials (such as facebook posts, videos, etc.) that promote the platform effectively.
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest or experience in leadership of a team.
- An approachable and personable demeanor, combined with the ability to coordinate teams and manage dynamic situations effectively.
- A willingness to manage people, paired with a knack for creative problem-solving.
- Strong sense of responsibility, with an aptitude for holding others accountable and following through on tasks.
- Organized in task management, with an efficiency that mirrors a to-do list enthusiast.
- Familiarity or passion for photography is a plus!
