Streamlit is an open-source Python library, acquired by Snowflake in 2022, that makes it easy to create and share beautiful, custom web apps for machine learning and data science. It’s embraced by the Python community as a key piece of the data science toolkit.  

As the leader of the Streamlit Marketing, Developer Experience, and Developer Relations teams, your primary objective is to accelerate the adoption of the Streamlit open-source library and growth of the Streamlit developer community. 

AS A DIRECTOR, STREAMLIT COMMUNITY YOU WILL:  

• Set ambitious goals for open-source community growth and engagement and lead team to achieve those goals 
• Delight the Streamlit community with developer-centric content and educational resources for Streamlit features and use cases 
• Develop innovative community programs that can help scale community engagement and advocacy 
• Identify opportunities to introduce the Snowflake platform to the open-source community 
• Mentor and coach team members to help grow their careers
• Collaborate across Snowflake Marketing and with other cross-functional teams to expand and improve how we serve developer audiences 
• Support our team culture by working 3 days per week in office

  OUR IDEAL DIRECTOR, STREAMLIT COMMUNITY WILL HAVE: 

• 12+ years of relevant experience 
• Intuitive understanding of what motivates developers
• Experience building open-source communities
• Technical background - a good understanding of software, data science, machine learning concepts and can explain complex topics in a simple and compelling way. Bonus points if you’re a Streamlit user!
• Strong bias for action and experimentation
• Strategic vision for what our community will need at 10x scale 

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

• The estimated base salary range for this role is $187,000 - $278,200.
• Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
